Gaetano has worked in the smart city space for several years now, focusing on new product development and testing, and working with internal teams to test and deploy new products. This allowed him to gain knowledge about many different types and variations of IOT devices, sensors, network, and security solutions. 

After serving in the Army, Gaetano started his career in the cable industry working in the field. From there, he moved into the cable broadcast space, working as a Systems Engineer and Project Manager, where he played a role in building VOD software for cable broadcast companies, as well as software tracking audience measurement data from cable equipment. He also spent some time working in the mobile app testing environment, where he built the support structure to maintain a 24/7 team of data center engineers, with a focus on building out the companies’ data warehouse footprint. By the time he left the company, he had successfully built and deployed more than 10 different data center locations that housed their cellular test equipment for end customers to test mobile applications in real-world environments. 

Since moving into the world of smart cities, he has worked for two control manufacturers. At Cimcon, he managed all equipment shipments and was also the lead Project Manager for all deployments projects. At Ubicquia, he was the Senior Project Manager for West Coast, Central, European Territories, & APAC. His major focus was working on new hardware development and deployments, as well as being assigned to critical client’s deployments to assure customer satisfaction. 

Gaetano lives in the North Shore of Massachusetts, just outside of Boston with his wife, three kids and three dogs. He likes to spend his free time riding his motorcycle with family and friends. He is also a member of his local American Legion Riders, where he helps organize multiple charity events and rides through the year to help and support local veterans.
