Meet the Team: Charlie Nobles

We’re excited to welcome Charlie Nobles to TerraGo as our new Vice President of Sales! Charlie brings decades of experience in utility operations and smart grid technology, and he’ll be leading our sales efforts in the city and utility markets. His focus will be helping customers accelerate digital transformation, improve efficiency, and strengthen collaboration through TerraGo’s customizable software.

Charlie’s career has taken him across the utility industry, from overseeing advanced metering infrastructure at Progress Energy (now Duke Energy) to managing international lighting projects at Sensus, and most recently driving smart grid and lighting initiatives at Ubicquia. Along the way, he’s built a reputation as both a customer-focused leader and an industry thought leader, contributing to publications, speaking at conferences, and serving on committees for IEEE, EEI, and CTIA.

Outside of work, Charlie enjoys staying connected to the engineering community (he holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Engineering from Duke, plus an MBA from UNC). His passion for problem-solving and innovation makes him a perfect fit for TerraGo’s mission of helping cities and utilities thrive with smarter infrastructure. Charlie lives in Raleigh, North Carolina, with his wife, Meleta. They have three grown, married children and eight grandchildren (so far!). In his free time, Charlie enjoys evening workouts, playing guitar, and cruising around in his Jeep Wrangler.

We’re thrilled to have Charlie on the team—welcome aboard!
