TerraGo Technologies Announces Release of GeoPDF® Publisher for ArcGIS® Pro

New extension to ArcGIS Pro, Esri’s next-generation desktop GIS, enables sharing interactive GeoPDF documents with broadest audience of end users possible.

Washington, D.C., September 30, 2020 – TerraGo Technologies announced today the release of their newest product, GeoPDF® Publisher for ArcGIS® Pro.

With GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS Pro, GeoPDF documents can be shared with end users anywhere, on any device, thus extending the reach and value of an organization’’s investment in ArcGIS. GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS Pro gives customers unmatched capabilities for configuring and optimizing GeoPDF products including custom layers, features, attributes, compression and resolution.  GeoPDF’s can be fully utilized offline without a network connection, making them an indispensable tool for personnel working off the grid, in remote or hostile locations.

Most importantly, GeoPDF enables geospatial collaboration with non-GIS users because only GeoPDF documents are enabled for use with the free GeoPDF Toolbar, an extension to the free Adobe® Reader®.  GeoPDF Toolbar provides a host of interactive capabilities that can be exploited by end users, including an Identify Tool for inspecting feature attributes, simultaneous display of multiple geographic coordinates, measurements, and geospatial markup.  Feature attributes are embedded in OGC® GeoPackage format, enabling interactive queries and supporting standards-based, cross-platform data sharing.

“We are very proud to be partnered with Esri® and have the opportunity to help our customers extend the value of the next generation of ArcGIS capabilities,” said Dave Basil, CEO and President, TerraGo. “With this new product launch, we’re able to help our customers transition to ArcGIS Pro so they can take advantage of all the powerful capabilities of this new platform, while maintaining their operational requirement to produce and disseminate mission-critical GeoPDF intelligence products.”

“I took part in TerraGo’s pre-release program, and was super happy with the performance and user experience with GeoPDF Publisher for ArcGIS Pro,” said Lisa Brent, GIS Analyst, Tennessee Military Department. “We plan to deploy this product immediately on a major project, as ArcGIS and GeoPDF are the foundation of our ability to create and deliver geospatial intelligence products.”
