GeoPDF® vs PDF Maps

achievement@3x

We love the PDF map. In fact, we invented it.

TerraGo invented and was awarded the patent for the geo-referenced PDF map. Then we collaborated with Adobe and the Open Geospatial Consortium to promulgate an open standard to enable global adoption. We helped create and support OGC best practices and the ISO 32000 standard. But we didn’t stop there….

GeoPDF is much more than a PDF Map.

TerraGo is the only vendor to supply numerous extensions to geospatial PDF while maintaining full compliance with the geospatial PDF standards. One of numerous examples, GeoPDF fully supports the OGC’s GeoPackage encoding standard, the future of cross-platform geospatial data exchange. You won’t find that in just any plain old vanilla PDF map.
